Laura Fukumoto
Laura Fukumoto is a theatre artist, costume designer, and internet poet. Most recently she has designed costumes for Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre’s “1 Hour Photo and The Electric Company’s VR films “The Virtual Light of Day”, and co-created and performed in a piece for Boca Del Lupo’s Envision Festival. Forthcoming Laura is writing poetry for a play exploring queer friendship through choral music, debuting at the Fringe Festival in 2019. Laura’s claim to fame is accidentally getting an unedited Facebook post published as the foreword of Tetsuro Shigematsu’s “Empire of the Sun.”
