Vancouver Poetry House is proud to announce the publication of Cotyledon, a collection of spoken word poems newly emerged into the world, still seeking their place. These gently crafted poems started as a whisper, a brave thought, or an inkling; poems that dream the world into a future we want to be in.

This publication includes 60% youth poets and prioritizes the work of BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+, disabled,  neuro-divergent, and low-income writers.

Funds raised from the book will support Vancouver Poetry  House’s youth programming.

Cotyledon includes works by Hailey Orrange, Catherine Garrett, Kiranjit Shoker, Monica Xin, Celine Tsai, Gabriela Martinez, N. Lema Lubendo, Brinda Sarma, Preeti Shah, Aslı Sözen, Rosa Hernandez, Sujash Purna, Avery Shannon, Dana De Samedi, Amanda Wong, Franz (the poet), Aurin Shaila Nusrat Sheyck, Ivy Edad (Ruthless), Cory McRae, Noémie Boucher, Yana Fershtein, Sammie Lee Wilhoit, LJ Weisberg, Gabriela Martinez, Amelia Coventry, Amanda Wong, S.
