Heather Haley
Heather Haley is a Vancouver-based author, singer, and videopoetry pioneer. Hailed as one of Canada’s national treasures, she founded the all-female punk band The Zellots, performing along the West Coast at the height of the underground movement. A trailblazer in videopoetry, her short films have screened internationally and are available on Vimeo, where her fusion of text, image, and sound has influenced a generation. She founded The Edgewise Café and the Visible Verse Festival. Performing as AURAL Heather, she released acclaimed spoken word albums and toured internationally. Haley continues to challenge and inspire through her writing, performances, videopoems and creative collaborations.
