Elana Brief

Elana Brief weaves together a life of poetry, music, motherhood, scientific research and community engagement. She relies on her synesthesia to bring words to the experience of sound. Elana was named one of the 2025 Citizen Poets as part of Elee Kraljii Gardiner’s Here, Hearing Project. In that role, she tumbled into a world of creativity, expertise and generosity. Elana wishes to share this joyful experience of togetherness in sound and word at Verses 2026
