Dear artists, participants, volunteers, and audience members!
Now that the dust has had a chance to settle on Verses Festival of Words 2018, we hope that you have had some time to unwind and let your experience sink in.
We cannot thank the artists enough for their contributions to this year’s festivities (which we are being told was one of our best festivals yet). The passion and exemplary displays of literary craft that artists brought to festival stages, audiences, and workshops, has left an indelible impact on our beloved community.
We are also deeply grateful for everyone who attended the showcases, workshops, national poetry slam bouts, community stage events, and community conversations. Your presence, attention, participation, support, enthusiasm and love for the spoken word, and what we are all experiencing, learning, and enjoying together, are what makes this all worthwhile.
