New Venue for Hullabaloo 2015 & a New Youth Slam
Vancouver Poetry House has struck a new partnership for Hullabaloo 2015 with the Vancouver Public Library. All events will be held at the central branch in the gorgeous Alice McKay and Peter Kaye rooms – and all shows will be free! We are excited to have such a fantastic downtown location for Hullabaloo close to transit and with parking right in the building. Be sure to join us April 23–25, 2015 for Hullabaloo in our fancy new digs.
Or if you want to see them even sooner, you can check them out with our brand new show, the Dewey Decibel Youth Poetry Slam! Our regular youth poetry slam on the 4th Monday of the month at Café Deux Soleils is always sold out, so to meet the demand we have started this new slam at the VPL central branch. There are plenty of seats for everyone and just like Hullabaloo, it’s absolutely free. The first slam is January 7th and features the amazing Dia Davina.
Also, don’t forget to register your school team. Pre-registration for teams that participated in last year’s Hullabaloo starts on January 12th. Then it opens to all schools on February 2nd. As always, the spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We can provide invoices to generate cheques if necessary.
