Susan Cormier

Susan Cormier is a multimedia writer working in print, performance, and audio and video art. Her work has appeared in such publications as West Coast Line, SubTerrain, Blood and Aphorisms New Fiction, and several anthologies. Previous adventures include winning or being shortlisted for such awards as CBC National Literary Award, Arc Magazine #39’s Poem of the Year, the Hemingway Short Story Competition, and the Federation of B.C. Writers’ Literary Writes; having her videos screened in festivals including the Montreal World Film Festival and Berlin’s Zebra Poetry Film Festival; being the artist-in- attendance at Calgary’s herland film festival; and finding her photograph in a newspaper from Serbia. Current adventures include producing Vancouver Story Slam, Canada's longest-running live storytelling competition; directing Back Down the Rabbit Hole, a research video essay about youth bullying; writing for the PostFeminist Post magazine; and beekeeping.
