Rosemary Hu

Rosemary was born in Dalian 大连, China. Her family immigrated to Vancouver when she was 3. Since then she has run and jumped and gotten depressed many times. She is nearing the ending parts of her degree in Speech Sciences at UBC and her research focusses on language preservation work on the endangered indigenous language: Gitksan. She performs at various open mics throughout the city, and just recently published her first chapbook, titled: words crack, my broken brain. She likes to make earrings. She tries to be hopeful. She likes to paint. She doesn’t have answers, but she knows at least we could continue to have words.
