Pamela Bentley
Pamela Bentley is a poet, storyteller and community connector born near the bayous of Louisiana, raised on the Canadian Prairies, ripened along the Ottawa and Rideau rivers, then steeped in India and the American Southwest. She is a kundalini cowgirl rooted in the moment, now on the stage, on the radio, at the mic, in the desert, on the beach, looking skyward and inward. She co-hosts, with RC Weslowski, the weekly poetry program Wax Poetic on Vancouver Co-op Radio, as well as organizing and hosting the (mostly) monthly ‘Chicken Sessions’ poetry and performance event at her home in East Vancouver. Pamela Bentley was the associate programmer and volunteer coordinator for the 2015 Verses Festival of Words.
