Laurie Bricker

Laurie Bricker is a Vancouver spoken word artist and performer.   She also was the co-creator and  former host of the spoken word program Firsestarter on CJSF radio.

Laurie has also organized and hosted many live shows , taught spoken word workshops in schools, and received a Canada council grant  to record and produce a compilation spoken word collection called Coastal Tongue

Once a prolific writer, much of Laurie’s craft has taken her into visual arts and ceramics, finding voice and expression in many mediums.

Now in her fifth decade, she is revisiting her first artistic love,  dusting off her performance hat and is once again coming to a stage near you.
