Eugene Boulanger

Eugene Boulanger is shúhtagot’ı̨nę from Tulít’a in the Sahtú Region of Treaty 11, Denendeh or the Northwest Territories, the homeland of the Dene.

Eugene represents many ideas through his works, mostly in communications design and Indigenous digital media. After nearly a decade working across public, private and non-profit sectors in British Columbia and the Northwest Territories, Eugene is pursuing higher education in an Indigenous studies program at snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ – Langara College.

Visual designer, facilitator, storyteller/performer, aspiring selektah, and emerging scholar of western and Dene traditions, Eugene’s work centers the wellness and decolonization of Indigenous men’s experiences by rehumanizing social stereotypes and rebuilding healthy communities towards accountability through new understandings of colonization trauma, blood memory, and healing.

Eugene acknowledges that he lives, studies, and works as an uninvited guest in the UNCEDED Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
