Georgia Straight Highlights Hullabaloo

Hullabaloo was picked by The Georgia Straight as one of its “Straight Choices” in this week’s paper (page 32).
They also posted are article about Hullabaloo online, which includes quotes from co-organizer, RC Weslowski. Here’s an excerpt:

While the event is billed as a competition, and there can only be one winning team, Weslowski says it’s not really so much a battle as a celebration. “The ones [students] that are really into it are really excited by it,” he observes. “It’s a good chance to get to see other people doing the same thing, and find out that ‘Okay, I’m not alone being a nerdy poet in high school.’”
