DESCRIPTION:You can purchase your Verses Festival pass for $75 here. \nPass-holders must arrive at events early. All events are general admission. \nA portion of event capacity has been held specifically for passholders.\n15 minutes before show time\, spots unclaimed by passholders are released to be sold at the door. \nThis means that if a show says “Sold Out” online\, as a pass-holder\, you can get in as long as you are there more than 30 minutes before the show starts. The audience capacity of our venues includes standing room\, and seats are not guaranteed. \n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:The land of poetry spreads far and wide: you could spend days traveling from Metaphor to Extended Metaphor. And that’s before you even reach Rhyme and Alliteration! \nPoets have spent years investigating the nooks and crannies of these regions and beyond. Have you been to the magical land of improvisation? Or explored the dark arts of banter? Have you crafted spellbinding chapbooks? Or trained in the martial discipline of mic technique?  There’s a lot to discover and if you’re a young\, aspiring poet\, this is your chance to travel through these lands with experienced spoken word poets to guide you. \nAlma VanDusen & Peter Kaye Rooms and Inspiration Lab\nStart: 10:00 AM\nEnd: 12:00 PM \nAdventures in Poetryland is a series of workshops on the different aspects of spoken word poetry. You sign-up for the whole two-hour session\, during which you’ll take two 45-minute workshops offered by festival artists Moe Clark\, Molly Billows\, Zoey Pricelys Roy\, and Erin Dingle. These workshops are guaranteed to push your craft to another level!  (Due to limited capacity\, participants cannot be guaranteed their choice of workshop – but we’ll do our best!) \nBut how will you know which workshop to choose if you don’t know what workshops are on offer?  Well\, just keep reading and you’ll find out! \nWorkshop Descriptions: Stay tuned: they’re coming soon!
