DESCRIPTION:Come join us for another night of slam poetry! As always\, our event is in our hybrid live & online format. Bring your selves and your words to Community Pizza\, 1191 Commercial Dr\, or to the Van Slam zoom space. \n\nWe will also have a live feature set from the amazing Hari Alluri!\n\n\n\nA bit about them: \nHari Alluri (he/him/siya) is a migrant poet of Philippine and South Indian descent who lives\, loves\, and writes on unceded Coast Salish territories of the Musqueam\, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples\, and Kwantlen\, Katzie and Kwikwetlem lands of Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking peoples. Siya is author of The Flayed City and chapbook Our Echo of Sudden Mercy and recipient of the Vera Manuel Award for Poetry\, among other prizes\, grants\, fellowships and residencies.
