| $10 – $15

Come join us for another night of slam poetry! As always, our event is in our hybrid live & online format. Bring yourselves and your words to Community Pizza, 1191 Commercial Dr, or to the Van Slam zoom space.

This event will include an open mic and slam, as well as a feature set from poet Matt Loeb!

A bit about our featured artist: Currently located in Perth Western Australia Matt Loeb originally hails from Windsor, Ontario and was a regular performer and host at the Vancouver Poetry Slam from 2013-2019. An energetic performer, Matt’s spoken word blends humour and heartfelt optimism with a kinetic verbal delivery. His work varies between structured wordplay and free flowing satire. Matt Loeb published his first full length spoken word album “Enough Has Happened” in 2013. He was a finalist at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam in 2014 and 2017 and coached the 2018 Vancouver Youth Poetry Slam Team. Matt is also one of only three Canadian poets to complete the “Century Challenge” of writing and performing 100 poems, in competition, without repeating. In 2015 he founded the Windsor Poetry Slam to connect his hometown with the wider Canadian Poetry Community.

Tickets are available online, or at the door!

Sign up to read starts at 7:30 both in person and online. See you there!
