Come join us for another night of slam poetry! As always, our event is in our hybrid live & online format. Bring yourselves and your words to Community Pizza, 1191 Commercial Dr, or to the Van Slam zoom space.
A bit about our feature artist: Braedon George Lowey was born in rural Saskatchewan, which never made sense to him or anyone else. After growing up as a theatre kid, he moved to Vancouver and began applying his love of performance to spoken word. During the pandemic he retreated to begin a Bachelor’s Degree in English at the University of Victoria, and now practices and studies poetry with a growing understanding of what it can do. Through an earnest and vulnerable approach, George writes about mental health, psychology, love, grief, and what it means to be on this earth, in order to dissect his own patterns while synthesizing his unique experiences of the human condition with others.
Sign up to read starts at 7:30 both in person and online. See you there!
Masking Policy: Masks are encouraged, but the venue is a restaurant and members of the audience will be maskless.
