* Names to be added January 18th, 2017

Poets will participate in a three round poetry slam (4 minutes, 1 minute round and a final 2 minute round). All poets perform in each round of the competition.
The order of performance in the 4 minute round will be by random draw. The 1 minute round will be in reverse order of the 4 minute round. The last round will be random draw once again.
As far as scoring goes all three rounds will be added up for each poet. The poet with the highest cumulative score will be this year’s Vancouver Women’s Poetry Slam Champion and WOWPS Representative.

Cafe Deux Soleils and the Van Slam strive to be a trans friendly place and a hate speech free zone. Help us with that. We also acknowledge that this event takes place on unceded First Nations Territory.
Also, be kind to our VOLUNTEER door staff. They have to follow BC Liquor Board Rules and once we are sold out we can’t let anyone in unless someone leaves. You cannot save seats for people in line. Let them know if you are leaving. Also no ATM at the door, it’s cash ONLY.

Get there early if you want a seat or want to slam. Before 7pm.
