This community-driven, facilitator-mediated conversation asks artists to participate in anti-oppression dialogue around the topic of “Accessibility within the Spoken-Word Community.” The traditional definition of accessibility has been rapidly expanding in attempt to build our communities in the most inclusive manner possible. This is an opportunity to add your voice to this very important conversation. Ask questions, share your ideas; this is not a lecture! The scene that we deserve is the one that we help to create. Come out, participate, and help shape the future of the spoken word community for the better.

Havana Theatre is an accessible venue. To reach the theatre, you must pass through the restaurant to the gallery space. On the right, is a black door leading into the theatre. There is a narrow hallway and two doors to access the performance space, but no stairs.

An American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter will be interpreting the presentation for the audience.
