VPH Regional Qualifiers: We recognize that with the global pandemic, many spoken word series have shuttered across the country. For folks whose local poetry slam is no longer active, we will be hosting 6 regional qualifiers: Pacific, Prairies, Northern, Central, Atlantic & French Speaking. Regional qualifiers will be held March 6 & 7, 2021.  The deadline for regional qualifier registration is March 1, 2021.

***Unlike the main competition, regional qualifiers will not require pre-recorded poems and will be conducted live on zoom.

Regional qualifiers will be as follows (ALL TIMES ARE IN PST):

March 6

• • French Speaking (Open to any poets who wish to slam in French across Canada) 10am-12pm
  • Northern (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut) 1-3pm
  • Prairie (Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba) 4-6pm

March 7

• • Atlantic (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, PEI) 10am-12pm
  • Central (Ontario, Quebec) 1-3pm
  • Pacific (British Columbia) 4-6pm

Regional qualifiers will not require pre-recorded poems, and will be conducted live on zoom. Registration will open in early February.
