The 7th annual HULLABALOO FINALS NIGHT will determine which school has the best poetic chops in all of British Columbia. Jeremy Loveday will start the evening with a feature set of her award-winning spoken word poetry. Then the top four teams from the preliminary bouts will face off against each other with the 2016 Hullabaloo team championship (and the Billy Sharkspeare Trophy) at stake!

About the feature: Jeremy Loveday is an award winning performance poet and 2X Victoria Poetry Slam Champion. Jeremy speaks his truth powerfully on social and environmental justice issues, gender violence, love, manhood, and leadership. His work has been featured on Upworthy, Huffington Post, CBC, and in Claudia; one of Brazil`s largest magazines. His videopoem Masks Off – A Challenge to Men has been viewed over a million times, has been translated into 6 languages and is taught in Universities and High School classrooms around the world. Jeremy is the Founder and Director of Victorious Voices youth spoken word festival and he has served as a Victoria City Councillor since 2014.

Open to the general public. All Ages. General seating. Seating cannot be reserved in advance.
