Vancouver poetry house presents feature poet, Greg Bee. Greg is a writer, actor and poet who lives in Seattle. He has written and performed poetry at Poetry Slams across North America for more than 10 years, has written a couple of plays and acted in a few plays as well. He wants you to know that he was a fantasy nerd before it was trendy; that he remembers when kale was a for decoration, not for eating; and that riding a bright yellow Harley Davidson isn’t weird.

There will be an open mic and three-round poetry slam: 2 min, 1 minute and 4 minute rounds where poets accumulate points to qualify for the Vancouver Individual Poetry Slam championships.

Cafe Deux Soleils and the Van Slam strive to be a trans friendly place and a hate speech free zone. Help us with that. We also acknowledge that this event takes place on unceded First Nations Territory.

Also, be kind to our VOLUNTEER door staff. They have to follow BC Liquor Board Rules and once we are sold out we can’t let anyone in unless someone leaves. You cannot save seats for people in line. Let them know if you are leaving. Also no ATM at the door, it’s cash ONLY.

Get there early if you want a seat or want to slam. Before 7pm.
