| $6 – $10

Erin Cotton’s poetry is a handwritten love letter filled with dirty jokes and queer politics. She was Victoria Slam Champion for 2014 and competed at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word as part of the Victoria Slam Team. She has one too many poems about genitalia and is secretly a bit proud of it. Super queer and super weird, she’ll bring all the absurdist sexual politics you can handle.

This is also THE LAST CHANCE SLAM. . The winner is automatically entered into the IWPS Playoffs on the 9th.

There will be an open mic and three-round poetry slam: 2 min, 1 minute and 4 minute rounds where poets accumulate points to qualify for the Vancouver Individual Poetry Slam championships.

Cafe Deux Soleils and the Van Slam strive to be a trans friendly place and a hate speech free zone. Help us with that. We also acknowledge that this event takes place on unceded First Nations Territory.

Also, be kind to our VOLUNTEER door staff. They have to follow BC Liquor Board Rules and once we are sold out we can’t let anyone in unless someone leaves. You cannot save seats for people in line. Let them know if you are leaving. Also no ATM at the door, it’s cash ONLY.

Get there early if you want a seat or want to slam. Before 7pm.
