Yep, it was cut off, here it is again...
The world’s tallest man is lonely. But he’s not alone.
Sultan Kosen, a 27-year-old man from Mardin, Turkey, soars at 8 feet two inches, which is like Mini Me stacked on Prince. Or Chris Bosh n’ a quarter.
Sultan recently spoke to American media on a Guiness World Records visit about what it’s like to be amazingly tall. Sultan said he likes helping his family hang curtains and being able to see from a long distance. His main concern? Frightening women.
Sultan admits women are afraid of his height, as if being a Guiness record of anything slots you into another category of human. The women he approaches just talk about his height, and everything ends with an awkward hug
All this despite Sultan also holding the world’s record for the largest hands and feet, ladies.
But Sultan’s big mits have never really held anyone close to his hips. I’m lonely, he told the New York press. He said about getting a girlfriend, “eventually that's one thing I really want to have — and she doesn't have to be as tall as me."
They call it gigantism, but Sultan feels so small inside he doesn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Here is Sultan, a guy who just wants to kiss a girl, afraid his vantage point will actually cripple him.
Gentlemen, we’ve been in Sultan’s position, even if we haven’t noticed it. We’ve been that guy who just wants to kiss a girl, but we haven’t really fit into our skin right tonight. And maybe we haven’t, and maybe he hasn’t. But you don’t have to be 8 ‘2 to taste the blood in your mouth from all those moments you’ve bit your tongue.
So tonight, I’m sending a small wish to all the tallest men in the world. Not to fall in love with the first woman who climbs up to your treehouse; but to be at peace with your life in the clouds.
