Cafe Deux Soleils Accessibility Audit
« on: November 04, 2009, 05:37:17 PM »
Back in July we had a Queer Slam volunteer do a full accessibility audit of CDS (it took them 5 hours of measuring, inspecting and recording...what an awesome volunteer).

I have a copy of the report (basically a 300 item spreadsheet) if anyone would like to have a look/is planning an event/etc. It should be a big help in terms of how to advertise the accessibility of the venue ("semi-wheelchair accessible).

Interesting!
I've been curious about this myself actually.

My mom had a difficult time there, due to the low lighting.  She has mobility issues and was down right scared entering the bathroom with the lights turned off and the door closed. So things might be different there depending on which day one visits too.
