The Falls
The falls will mesmerize your brain,
for long if you just stare
The visions will prevail for sure and bring on great despair
Ignore them for their petty worth;
they are the tricks of mind
Many souls have come and gone believing as if blind
When conscious doubts invade your mind,
guilty thoughts abound
The last things that you want to see are visions all around
Take one look, and do not stare, at water come and go
The secret is to have a wish,
and pray that it will score
And if in doubt remember this,
and don't for long despair
Look upward to the sky my love;
stand in the rain and smile,
Then feel the falls mist blow right past,
know that I'm right there

turned scarlet by the mist
