Hey poets,
Starting in November 2008, we'll have a "Poem of the Month" feature in the main area of our website, and we'll be looking to this section of the forum for candidates. The purpose of this initiative is to broaden the exposure of poets within our community.
To qualify as a featured poet in the "Poem of the Month" section, you need to do the following:
1. Be a resident of Vancouver, or the surrounding areas (I'll take poets anywhere from Bowen Island to Tsawsassen, Point Grey to Chilliwack).
2. Become a member of the forum. It's free. You just need to click the register button in the nav menu above.
3. Post a poem in the "Poetry Jam" section of the VPH Forum.
4. Submit a short bio (including any links or contact info that you want distributed) and photo. Send it to the webmaster –– that's me –– by clicking either the personal message (scroll-like looking icon) or by email (the letter icon beside it) under my photo, and let me know that you'd like your poem considered for Poem of the Month.
I will curate the featured poets section of the website. Past featured poets will be kept online in an archived section.
