On September 6th 2010, The Vancouver Poetry Slam presents The 3rd Annual Labour Slam at Cafe Deux Soliels
"Workers of the World-Give voice to your labours. Slam with poems about your job,or labour in general. All are welcome. Work attire is encouraged."
Special guest Feature- Bob Kilgore has worked as a labour agitator for over ten years
on the west coast of the United States. He is also a bit of an extroverted nerd
who likes to recite Shakespearean verse in public.
...Presenting
-"Shakespeare for Organizers" is a multi-media introduction to basic
concepts in union organizing, which uses scenes from Shakespeare's
"Tragedy of Julius Caesar" as dramatic examples.
Real-life organizer Bob Kilgore will discuss his experience and perform as
several characters from Shakespeare's play. We're also gonna have a organized labour info table and prizes for labour trivia.
Doors and Sign up are at the new workers friendly 7 PM

Slam at 8pm.
Cover is $5 or $3 with proof of union membership.
