The Vancouver Youth Poetry Slam is hosting a 1 day poetry writing workshop with acclaimed Toronto poet, Lara Bozabalian

Pre registration is required though. The first 20 applicants are in.

It does not matter if you have competed at a poetry slam before to participate in this workshop.
It does not matter if you think you don’t write performance poetry.
What does matter is that you are interested in challenging yourself and your writing skills with this workshop.

Her poetry has been featured in journals, newspapers and magazines, and was recently released in the full length collection The Cartographer's Skin (Piquant Press, 2010). She is a founding member of the Toronto Poetry Project, and founded and runs Be Heard, a spoken word festival for high school students across southern Ontario.
