A new qualifying season is underway to determine which poet will have a chance to become the next Individual World Poetry Slam representative for Vancouver. The IWPS slam off will be September 13th. IWPS is scheduled to take place during October 13th to the 16th.
The point system is the same one we’ve been using since September 2009 but it’s completely different from previous years. It is a points system. You can read about how it all works here:
http://vancouverpoetryhouse.com/forum/smf/index.php/topic,1142.0.htmlThe point system should become clear very quickly. With that in mind, here are the results from the first qualifying slam.
After the poet's name is the order that they performed in the first round, then their first round score. After that is the position they performed in the second round (if they made the cut) and their second round score, followed by their total score for the evening.
