The Messy McGills
« on: April 20, 2010, 11:30:04 PM »

This is the tale of the messy McGills,
Who lived in a big house in Beverly Hills.
A messier family there naught ever was,
And why were they messy? Because, just because.

While all of their neighbors had stately estates,
And ate their roast duck off of gold plated plates,
The messy McGills had ten acres of crud,
And washed down their goulash with bottles of Bud.

The doctor next door had a Jag and a Benz,
Plus Porches and Bentleys were owned by his friends.
The messy McGills had a rusty Dodge Dart,
And the interior smelled like a Labrador fart.

At least the old Dart could still run pretty hard,
Unlike all the other old cars in the yard.
A truck with no tranny, a Buick on blocks,
A Cadillac hearse with a motor that knocks.

While all of their neighbors stayed ever so snobby,
The slobs with no jobs were so slovenly slobby.
They piled up their junk of old fridges and scrap,
The ten acre grounds were all covered in crap.

Their sink was all stopped from old food in the drain,
So out went the dishes to wash in the rain.
The food on the dishes it really did reek,
It hardly had rained now for many-a-week.

And inside the house was the worst of it still,
But no one did care from the family McGill.
They wallowed in filth and they slept in debris,
The crazy old daddy and smelly kids three.

They wore holey clothes and dropped grease down their gullets,
And grew their straw hair into dandruffy mullets.
The messy McGills were the messiest four,
To ever leave poop on a living room floor.

***

Then finally men came to see them one day,
And made the McGills have to move far away.
A judge had done ordered that Beverly Hills,
Could throw out those slovenly slobby McGills

And what of the ten acre yard full of crap?
They cleared it and burned it and sold it for scrap.
They brought back some beauty to Beverly Hills,
Now that they were rid of those messy McGills.

And what did they put on that ten acre lot?
A thing of great beauty? I should think not.
There’s new garbage now all piled up in a hump,
And a sign that says, Beverly Hills Garbage Dump.

I love the lymeric style of telling a story like this and the ironic ending just makes it even more entertaining.
